How To Use WordPress’s Hateful Comment Swatter

I’ve been blogging off and on here on WordPress since the early 2000’s long before the App came out. Here’s how to deal with hateful comments:

From the App click on the W with the circle around it in the top left hand corner of the screen

Scroll down to the bottom of the menu and click on View Admin this will open the online Dashboard

Click on the three horizontal bars in the top left hand corner

Scroll down the drop down menu and click on Comments

This will open up the Comments window where you can approve/disapprove, delete the comment and/or edit it (yes one can edit comments left by others on their own blog) and you can block the commenter by clicking on the spam button. This will make the unwanted comments from the unwelcome blogger go into the spam folder which can be deleted at leisure.

Sorta Kinda like swatting a pesky fly with a flyswatter only without having to deal with the dead fly after killing it. 🙂

Happy Blogging,

    1. LOL That’s because like deadpool you’d chop their heads off. There are other tools there in the drop down menu you should take the time to explore them. It would be well worth effort. 🙂

    1. Your very welcome! These instruction have proven to be useful to others as well.

BTW when you open the admin. Window and menu click on General Settings.

You will have to click on it twice and it will open up the general settings page.

Go back to the top left hand corner and click again on the three bars.

That will open up the drop down menu again.

At the bottom of the menu under general settings click on discussion.

That will open up a window that will allow you to blacklist any one who is bothering you. As well as set your moderation parameter.

Once you blacklist someone their comments will automatically go into the trash; all you’ll need to do is click on the button to empty the trash bin without even looking at them and proof they are gone.

Good luck and happy blogging here on Word Press.
